About us

Lysning is an Oslo based duo who produce sparkling, melancholic dream pop in Norwegian. Ingvild Våge and Bjarne Liland create big, evocative soundscapes with lots of reverb, lots of space, and lots of emotion

Inspired by artists such as Susanne Sundfør, Feist and James Blake, they approach the pop genre with an experimenting attitude. Lysning wants to touch the vulnerability and darkness in all of us, while hope also shines through in their songs. With melodies both catchy and meditative, combined with crystal clear vocals and personal lyrics, they create a comforting space to get lost in.

Their first song, La det gå, was recommended by the national tv and radio page for unsigned bands NRK Urørt, which led to radio airplay at P3 Urørt as well as Spillerom at P2. The song was also used in the critically acclaimed tv series Unge Lovende.
